Wieger Steenhuis (born in 1982) is a designer and developer based in the city of Groningen (NL), specialising in interactive installations and real-time computer graphics. He works as a digital scenographer and software developer within the performing arts. His practice draws on techniques such as 3D modelling, game engines and extended reality (XR), with a focus on researching and applying mixed reality in shared, collective experiences, as distinct from solo experiences.
Steenhuis has contributed to a range of operas, theatre productions and films, including the installation "DANS DANS REVOLUTIE" (Lisa Weeda, BrotherTill, 2024), which received the Ontwerpersprijs for best design at the Dutch Theatre Gala in 2025.
